I am going in for my 22 teeth removal , with jaw bone spurs ground down. Under full anesthesia. With the cost of relines, I have decided to wait to get my dentures. I am retired and not needing them. I can wait. I have an appointment 28 days with my dentist after my surgery. After I have healed enough. When will I know that my gums are done with swelling and healing.

I am having full commando. 23 teeth pulled, complete anesthesia , then heal. No immediate dentures. I'll heal then get my set.

Now explain what happens a few yrs later.... because it's now a dead tooth w/ a cap.

The scariest part about this procedure is the bill. My insurance didn't cover at all and it was 2000 total. 1k for the root canal and 1k for the crown. It was still worth it, though. If your dentist does this correctly, you will not hurt during the procedure or after.

I went to the dentist yesterday after 6 days of having a tooth removed. The pain was excruciating. He told me I had a deep infection and cleaned out the wound with some of type of medication. He also has me on antibiotics. How long should I expect this horrible pain to last and is it normal to have a foul taste in my mouth? Thank you doctor.

Whatever you do, don't let a 'new' person administer the composite. The one that did mine didn't smooth the edges down very well and left harsh edges where it's nearly impossible to clean.

Don't ever get root canal... they never last long and it's a waste of money

I’ve been needing to have mine removed for many years but simply can’t afford too. 31 now and have 2 impacted wisdom teeth both at the bottom.the one on left side is impacted but already coming thru the gums and had broken the tooth next to it.

I had mine about a week ago and oh boy was I nervous, the pain wasn’t all that bad, worst part was having my mouth open for that long, in was on my front tooth which is the easiest tooth, due to its size. If your reading thing and have a future appointment, you’ll do fine, just don’t be to nervous.

The instructions specifically tell you to NOT dry your tooth and to have your fingers wet while handling the material cus it will stick .

Hi Doctor. I just got my immediate top denture today and it shows way too much gum when I smile. My real teeth never looked like this. Is there something they can do to shorten the denture or should they make a new one? Thank you.

Excellent video Doc, really helpful. Just wondering, is fasting during this healing period harmful? I haven't eaten in 40 hours and had a tooth removed as well as a root canal around 20 hours ago. I was planning on fasting for 72 hours, considering I can't exercise during this healing period.

I hope you are getting compensated in some way (beyond all the thank you's); I seriously think this tutorial should be provided to every new patient in their take-home kit, and you should earn residuals from the bleaching companies, because their usage would no-doubt increase!
